Change Is In The Air!

The news is good, but it depends on your perspective! Sharon Croskery sold her wonderful home, without giving us lifetime rights to use her home We will remember with great joy the wonderful times in her beautiful garden and exquisite living room. Sharon is looking to purchase a new residence on the West side. We wish her great luck in finding in a gem.

So, B’nai Horin is moving to Peggi’s home and garden. Peggi is really looking forward to having everyone in her purple heaven home and garden. Like at Sharon’s and Carole’s, she is expecting her garden to grow and be extraordinarily fruitful from the blessing of our group prayers.

We are redesigning Rabbi Stan’s class, Paths to Jewish Spiritual Awareness. Stan wants your input. Drop him a note, leave him a message or send an email with your suggestions for content,, days and times, locations, formats and other creative thoughts. For the moment, no classes are scheduled. We will send an email to our B’nai Horin group announcing the next class. It will also be on our voice mail at Peggi’s number and on our web site. Keep checking in!

A passage from our Tu Bishevat prayerbook to inspire us all:

Life offers infinite possibilities. The individual is finite and therefore can never exhaust the infinite possibilities. But the individual must try: “Things are bad”, “But unless we do our best to improve them, everything will become worse.”

One must constantly be aware that values are waiting to be actualized and that no matter how much has been achieved, there is always so much more left.

Life is a task. The nature of the human task is not one which is realized through reflection, but through action. The human being is called upon to respond to the meaning offered by each life situation, and to actualize the meaning potential of the moment. The moment which has been wasted through failure to actualize meaning has been irrecoverably lost.
