RABBI STAN'S 60TH BIRTHDAY
Hannukah delightfully coincided with Rabbi Stan's 60th Birthday. We made a big surprise party for him. (If you were on email, you knew, if not, read on for your chance to participate!) We asked people to make him a birthday card, note or letter on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper, which we placed in a binder for him. He loved his book of birthday wishes, and the two Judaica art pieces we gave him: A beautiful dreidel spinning on a heart and a metal tzeddakah box.
The Hannukah Celebration itself was wonderful, spiritual and sweet! The pastries and cakes were divine! The dreidel spinning and sharing was extra special.
It is NOT TOO LATE,
if you didn't get your Birthday wish in the book. send it anytime, and I'll add it to the book!
THE B'NAI MITZVAH SCHOLARSHIP FUND
As you may be aware, B'nai Horin's B'nai Mitzvah Program graduates 25 to 30 students each year. I think Stan loves working with the kids even more than with us adults! We have many requests from parents who cannot afford our full fees. So, to honor Stan on his 60th birthday, I invited people to contribute to our new "B'nai Mitzvah Scholarship Fund" in lieu of presents. So far we have raised $900.
I'd like to create a $10,000 fund. Want to participate? No gift is too small or too large!
It will benefit worthy kids. Plus you get a tax donation. Just send your checks (or VISA/MC), with Rabbi Stan's 60th Fund in the memo and we'll thank you!
