Prior to lighting candles the children may study Hebrew, read and reflect while resting on sofas under soft blankets, nurture trees and plants they have planted, cook chicken soup, or transform their club room to welcome the Shabbat. Ritual by the ocean
Rina Daly, the director and visionary of the program, established the Jewish Enrichment Club in 1995 as a response to the growing frustration of parents and children to the syndrome of "Classroom-Judaism". Besides a B.A. degree in Child Development and Jewish Studies, Rina incorporates her passion for ritual and mindful spirituality.
The Jewish Enrichment Club draws its support and inspiration from Rabbi Stan Levy, the Bnai-Horin community, and the Jewish Renewal Movement.
